The North Carolina Folk Festival is a free, three-day music festival in downtown Greensboro featuring artists from across North Carolina and around the world.

This isn’t your grandma’s folk fest (though she’s invited too).

With more than 40 performers spanning 20+ genres, the festival brings people together through live music, food, art, and shared experiences that reflect the many sounds and stories shaping our communities.

Named the 2025 Signature Event of the Southeast, the festival welcomes more than 135,000 attendees each year for a weekend built on discovery, connection, and celebration.
