The Show Will Go On!

The North Carolina Folk Festival is proud to announce our 2020 Virtual Concert Series is coming to a monitor near you September 11th through 13th! Join us via television broadcast, the internet, or good old fashioned radio for three days of our socially distanced celebration of North Carolina’s rich cultural heritage through music, dance, crafts, and more!

While the continued threat COVID-19 poses to public health here in North Carolina prevents us from being able to hold our in-person event safely, now more than ever we are in need of the space the festival provides to connect with one another, reaffirm the value of people of color in our community, and remind us of traditions that have gotten us through hard times before. Whether you are a long time festival goer or new comer looking for a way to pass the time at home, the North Carolina Folk Festival’s 2020 Virtual Concert Series has a bit of hurting, healing, and hope to offer everyone in this moment.

While we put the final touches on the program, be sure to sign up for our email list or follow us on social media so you can be the first to read updates from us about the performers, the filming locations and their significance to our community, and about how you, your friends, and neighbors can watch the Virtual Concert Series from the safety of your home!

We can’t wait to share more about this unique creative endeavor in the coming weeks!
