TowneBank Unveiled as Presenting Sponsor for 2019 N.C. Folk Festival

The N.C. Folk Festival, which will take place in downtown Greensboro on September 6–8, 2019, revealed TowneBank as the new presenting sponsor of the Festival at a press conference this morning.

Making the announcement today at LeBauer Park in Greensboro were Amy Grossmann, Director of the N.C. Folk Festival and Mayor of Greensboro, Nancy Vaughan. They were joined on the podium by TowneBank North Carolina President- Matt Davis, and TowneBank Triad President- Scott Baker.

“We are absolutely delighted to announce that TowneBank—known for serving others and enriching the lives of the communities they serve—is partnering with the N.C. Folk Festival and ArtsGreensboro to present this year’s event in downtown Greensboro,” said Grossmann. “As presenting sponsor, TowneBank is making an investment in the event and in our city that not only recognizes the value of celebrating our cultural roots and heritage, but also understands how important this destination event is to Greensboro, the Piedmont, and North Carolina. We thank TowneBank for its incredible commitment.”

TowneBank is scheduled to open their first office in Greensboro this fall and is excited to enter the Triad market by being a part of the folk festival tradition that the City of Greensboro, the Greensboro Convention & Visitors Bureau, and a cadre of more than a thousand volunteers has helped foster.

From September 6th to 8th, audiences will enjoy up to seven stages featuring continuous musical entertainment—from Sacred Steel to traditional Irish to Dominican Bachata, and from Funk to Cajun to Jazz. Attendees will also dine on regional and ethnic foods, experience folk art demonstrations and performances by global and multicultural artists, and share the fun of the Family Activities Area with their children.
