2019 N.C. Folk Festival Adds New Exclusive VIP Fundraising Event: The Lounge at NAI Piedmont Triad

Weekend Passes are on sale now for The Lounge at NAI Piedmont Triad

Now celebrating its second year, the North Carolina Folk Festival remains completely FREE through many kinds of donations. Through generous gifts from sponsors and attendees alike, each festival weekend is able to generate more than $15 million worth of economic impact in downtown Greensboro.

The N.C. Folk Festival offers performances from a large group of talented artists at no direct cost to its audience. Fundraising, sponsoring, individual giving, volunteering, and the donation of supplies are the true backbone of the festival, and the festival staff are excited to introduce a new way for the public to support the North Carolina Folk Festival.

Today, weekend passes go on sale for The Lounge at NAI Piedmont Triad. This lounge is inside the NAI Piedmont Triad building, which has a large, all-windows conference room that offers a perfect view of the Lee Wrangler Stage. Weekend Passes are $125 for one, and $200 for two and can be purchased at ncfolkfestival.com/thelounge/.

Weekend Passes from The Lounge at NAI Piedmont Triad will allow supporters to access the lounge for every day of the three-day event, and will feature an exclusive tented outdoor location as well. The lounge will be located at NAI Piedmont Triad’s 348 N Elm Street building, and those with lounge access will be able to enter from the E Lindsay Street side.

Weekend Pass proceeds from the use of this space will also help offset the production costs for the festival. Additional perks include an open bar that will serve wine, beer, and spirits, which will be the only place that attendees will be able to have access to spirits on the festival premises for the three-day event. In addition to these beverages, The Lounge at NAI Piedmont Triad will have a buffet of hors d’oeuvres available throughout each day of the festival.

These events are a blend of many things that fuel the N.C. Folk Festival experience—local, multicultural food, fundraising, and local businesses—and this year, festival organizers are excited to be able to unite them all in an effort to give back to those who choose to support the festival by coming out and attending these special events.
