The Family Stage features a variety of performances including storytelling, puppetry, interactive music, and dance. The North Carolina Folk Festival pays special attention to providing engaging and educational interactive performances and hands-on activities for children and families, sharing with them the richness and diversity of many cultures.

The North Carolina Folk Festival honors, celebrates, and shares the meaningful ways communities express their creativity and cultural traditions through music, dance, food, crafts and other folk arts to enhance appreciation of diverse traditions and contribute to community vibrancy and inclusivity.
